Black Friday Sucks

Cyber Monday is Better

Every year, Black Friday comes around. You see pictures that look like a thousand people are lining up around the block, waiting for the doors to open. In order to stay warm, a few people might have cups of soup, cocoa, and coffee. The energy in the crowd looks impatient, excited to get their hands on some rare prices. My parents and friends always make it sound like a blast, but I’ve never got the chance… Wanna know why? I get told by my stupid family that I can’t go shopping on that day. The deals sound really good, it’s affordable and in my budget, but they say it’s too busy to go out, which gets more and more frustrating for me every year! Cyber Monday is better because I can still go shopping, it’s just online with my parents permission. I can find deals without leaving the house and I can window-shop from my cozy couch.

Shopping in stores on Black Friday is the worst! The store gets crammed so much that it’s like being in Seattle traffic. People have to wake up early to get products super duper early. It might be dangerous because there are a lot of fights over the products on sale, even things like toys! Some people, like me, had to stay home to babysit siblings and make sure they don’t misbehave or get in too much trouble because otherwise they might get time-outs or grounded.

I do get why some people like shopping in person. They love going because so many products go on sale for so much cheaper than ever before. Some people bring family and friends over to go shopping which makes it more fun. I really wish I could be part of that fun with MY family.

Shopping online for Cyber Monday is way better! Cyber Monday deals can last longer and you don’t have to compete with crowds! You get to stay home in your pajamas and sleep in. Online shopping is also safer because you won’t get into fights or shoved or pushed around by mean customers. You can make your own wishlist on websites like Amazon that you can share with your friends and family. That means you have a better chance to get what you want, instead of hoping loved ones get to the stores fast enough on Black Friday.

There are some things that make online shopping not perfect. The shipping cost may vary from site to site. It’ll take days to complete their delivery, which means you have to wait. That means it might also get canceled or delayed until after Christmas.

Shopping in stores on Black Friday sounds like a fun chance to save money, but there are so many fights. There’s also huge crowds that can take forever. They might grab the items on your list so you miss out on the deals that day, too. Online shopping, like during the Cyber Monday sales, can be a lot of fun and you don’t even have to worry about crowds. You could also make it a family fun activity by turning it into a pajama party! Overall, I love online shopping and must recommend you try to check out the deals next year.
