We all have stories about cafeteria food. Nobody likes it. It sucks (or it did). Because it’s actually better now believe it or not. Oh my god, the nachos. When it’s served every Tuesday the lines literally almost go out the door because of how good they are. I’m not talking about just plain nachos. That’s not how you eat nachos. You need to load that sucker, you know because loaded nachos, and that’s what makes it so good. You can add beans, meat, pico de gallo, salsa, and lettuce. That’s literally so perfect.
The toppings elevate the entire plate. It’s literally like if you eat tacos with no toppings, you’re just not getting the full effect. Plus nachos are literally meant to have more things other than cheese. The simplest nacho recipe consists of chips, cheese, beef or whatever meat, beans, pico de gallo and jalapenos. That’s not just cheese, if you’re going to only have cheese on your nachos, might as well just get it on the side as a dip.
Cafeteria food has always had a bad reputation. It’s not like the food is terrible, it’s just not the best. People just exaggerate how it tastes a lot and then nobody wants to eat it. Sophomore Anika Sharma said, “I think school lunch isn’t bad, IF you don’t eat it everyday.”
The food gets boring when you have it over and over again, but luckily we have the specials. We have different food everyday, nachos are literally one of the millions of specials they have. You’re bound to enjoy at least one of them (nachos..) the orange chicken is pretty good, we have that every Thursday. The lines for that also get pretty long too. The same people who are bashing them are the same ones you see standing in that line. No hate but there’s a little hate.
There’s also the people who have never tried the school food but don’t even eat lunch?? What’s going on there?? Would you rather have those amazing nachos or have your stomach rumble during silent reading time? There’s no point in hating on the food if you’re not even eating it. So school food isn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be, because guaranteed those people haven’t tried it or literally eat it everyday
