What is something that you wish you would’ve known before you started high school? People undergo many significant changes during high school, including changes to their personality and friend group. At the start of high school when one is 14 or 15, and when high school ends, one is now approximately 18. Through high school, people grow up and go from being a teenager to an adult. Learn from mistakes and start thinking like an adult. So for the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors here’s some advice from the rising juniors and seniors .
First, here’s some advice from the graduated seniors. The first piece of advice is from Abhi Purohit, he said “Studying and homework doesn’t take as long as you think, if you just focus, and tests aren’t that hard, as long as you put in a little bit of effort.” The basis of his advice is to just do your work and study, because it will help you in the long run and actually make your life easier.
The second piece of advice is from Jinay Doshi, he said “Start college apps as soon as possible.” His advice is just telling you to not procrastinate, which is a common piece of advice all throughout high school.
Rising seniors and juniors are similarly ready to give their underclassmen advice. Avni Panchal, a rising senior, said: “High school goes by fast, so take it all in and do everything you can” she said, join the clubs you want and do all the sports because it’ll be fun but don’t overwhelm yourself. Another piece of advice from Gigi Stoecklin is: “A good outfit is worth the tardy.” High school may be stressful, but it is important to have fun as well and enjoy the experience.
