The North Creek High School Fashion Club is run by students Bea Alejandro, Andrea Farah, Serissa Gamble, Sophia Kang, and Jazlyne Surani. They hope to make this the perfect place for any creatives or people even slightly interested in clothes, design, and art.
“People should join the Fashion Club. I mean, I think the people are really cool, we don’t have a set number list so it’s open and has a really low commitment,” said Bea Alejandro.
Anyone can attend any of the meetings at any time with no sign-up process. Fashion Club hosts a variety of fun activities for every meeting, ranging from simple social events to creative field trips.
“Other activities we’re planning on doing…we’d love to do thrifting socials. We love sustainability, I love thrifting,” said Alejandro.
Bea’s love for thrifting, fashion, and Pinterest helped stem her idea of starting the club.
“It was mainly like, I just love Pinterest, and I was like, ‘you know I feel like there’s people with the same vibe and there’s so many people here with good style, and I would just love to have a little forum about different things regarding fashion, just for good vibes.’ We don’t need to be good at making anything.” said Alejandro.
Fashion Club is a wonderful destination for those willing to explore anything fashion-oriented, connect with other students, and experience new forms of creative work.
