With the school year coming to an end comes spring sports ending. The girls softball team has just had the best season in school history. The team tied for 8th in the state.
“It was fun, we had team dinners and bonded a lot,” said Grace Pinder.
Senior Addie Hardan has just played her final softball game in her sports journey.
“I am proud of my team for making it the farthest we have ever gone in North Creek history. I am glad I was here to see such a talented, and young group finally come together and have our hard work pay off,” said Hardan.
The team worked hard to make it to state. Things had to go well for them. To make it “We work together really well and we are very coherent,” said Pinder.
There were a lot of great moments this season. Along came some struggles such as injuries. “I was too injured to do most things but when I was able to hit I had a lot of fun finding gaps in the infield so I could slap, and sealing bases” said Hardan. She was injured for a lot of the season but she tried to make the most out of her senior year.
The season has come to an end, which leads to excitement about next season. “I’m sad it’s over but I’m really excited for next season already” said Pinder. The girls look to carry over their success for next season. “North Creek Softball is such a great environment that I will always miss, and I know the younger girls will carry that after we leave” said Hardan.
