North Creek High School had its first Food Drive of the year. It will also mark the first Food Drive completed in an entirely in-person year.
According to ASB Advisor, Naudia Bosch, “The food pantry for North Creek and Skyview is as low as it’s been and unfortunately with our getting back to our tradition of homecoming heroes, the food drive did not bring in the type of food that it usually does.”
The Fall Food Drive was mainly conducted so the food pantry would be stocked up. Pre-covid, North Creek was getting a lot of food in their Food Drive.
“Coming back from Covid we kind of lost our momentum,” stated Bosch.
North Creek Counselor Jeff Dennis believes the Food Drive could have done better.
“More advertisements throughout the school,” would have helped with bringing in more food to the Drive. Dennis has wise words about how North Creek can serve the community better, “ Dennis said.
“Being aware of community needs is always crucial… and seeing how we can serve the community in that way… Opening our eyes and seeing the needs of the community is something we can always do to better,” Dennis said.
