With the school year coming to a close, the spring sports season must also end. There were many positives for the sports here at North Creek during the spring season. For starters the girls softball and boys baseball team both qualified for state this season. The girls having an overall record of (26-6) and the boys having a (16-9) record. With key seniors leaving on both ends, it will be a challenge to fill their roles for next season.
Not only did those sports qualify for state but individuals did as well, such as Ella Hansen, the first girl golfer to ever qualify for state in school history creating a significant step in North Creek sports as a whole. However, Hansen is a senior and will be graduating this June, which leads to the question who will be next to qualify for state?
Track and field has big accomplishments this year, with Junior Molly Spiker competing in the state championship and having the fastest 100 and 200 meter time out of the varsity girls. Along with newcomers such as Daniel Ojeda gaining accomplishments. Ojeda, a junior, qualified for districts in his first year of track.
Overall this spring season North Creek sports had tremendous success. With teams and individuals both qualifying for districts and state. Creating a significant step in North Creeks sport identity. With an overall successful season teams and individuals are hoping they can continue their success and are pushing themselves to go even further next spring season.
