This is what dressing up for a sports event is like.
North Creek’s athletics has a different dress-up theme every week applying to all of the sporting events. The jagsuperfans account on Instagram posts the theme for the week every Sunday. But is that enough time? Themed sporting events are held Monday-Saturday. Finding out a day before they begin may not be enough time to prepare.
“I like run out of time to buy stuff for football games. I wish they had a big list of all the pre-planner themes, ’cause like last year the blackout vs. country situation was so annoying” said Nola Williams.
A lot of students complain that they never know what the dress theme this year is. “I wish they put out these earlier and on most of the school platforms, I end up having to search like four different Instagram accounts,” said Williams. For students who don’t have social media, it’s even more of a challenge to find out what the theme is. Putting out the themes earlier, and not only on social media, would be beneficial for a large demographic of students.
