I absolutely hate the way that my school photo turned out, it makes me look extremely greasy and I just overall don’t like how it turned out,” says Shruti Vinodkumar, a junior at North Creek High School.
North Creek High School’s official Picture Retake Day is coming up on October 15th, the Tuesday after Homecoming weekend. A great controversy has occurred among the students; some claim that the new photo-taking system is dreadful, while others claim to love the new setup.
“My school photo this year was far from perfect but it definitely wasn’t the worst one I’ve had,” claimed Sankari Kk.
Not all students hated their photo although most opinions went something like this:
“This year’s photo setup was so disappointing compared to what they’ve had the previous years. The whole new white background thing was not good, it washed out my face,” says Kashish Seth, another junior at NCHS.
“From what people from previous classes told me, the photographer on the extreme right was taking the best photos because he was letting people fix their hair and makeup before they took their pictures,” said Kavya Karthikeyann, a student at NCHS.
On picture day, some people were so disappointed with the new setup for pictures that they figured out which photographer out of the 5 or 6 that were present was actually taking the best photos, and only got their pictures taken from him.
“I was expecting more for my photo this year since my photo last year was pretty good,” said Rishitha Sinadogi, a junior at NCHS.
A sizable amount of people at NCHS are interested in retaking their photo this year; some simply because they forgot and would like to look a little more presentable, some because they were let down by the changes made in the school photos this year, and would like to be better prepared this time around.
