NCHS girls varsity soccer is 5-4-2. Tying Bothell with a score of 2-2.
“We have a game against Bothell, one of our rivals, so we’re very excited to play them, it’s gonna be a good game,” said Gigi Stockelin before the game.
The team’s main goal this season making it to playoffs.
“We just have to keep working hard and talking to each other,” said Stockelin.
Soccer requires coordination with your teammates, and having technique in order to win.
“I think we wanna improve our corner kicks, we have a lot of plays, so memorizing them is important. It can get confusing sometimes, so we definitely want to focus on those and get those down, since it’s a good opportunity to score” said Stockelin.
Clearly, the team understands their fortes and deficiencies. Demonstrating the team has built a strong bond and their skills and personalities compliment one another.
“I think one of our strengths is our ability to support each other no matter what and I think as a whole we’re always there for each other,” said Stockelin.
Seniors have a special impact on the team, which makes them so memorable.
“The seniors this year are really good and have a big impact on the team and they have for years, and so I think our team next year will look really different and we’ll miss them a lot, cause they’re really the heart and soul,” said Stockelin.
Knowing what their strengths and weaknesses are, on and off the field, indicates they can potentially make it to the playoffs.
