Homecoming at North Creek High School deviates from the conventional practice of crowning homecoming kings and queens. Instead, students and teachers have the opportunity to nominate other students to become Homecoming Heroes. On September 12th 2024, google forms were sent out to NCHS emails, to vote for homecoming nominees. The forms are now closed, and Homecoming heroes will be shortly announced at homecoming on October 12th.
The title of Homecoming hero isn’t just for anybody, these are students who demonstrate the RISE values, (respect, inspire, serve, and empower). Homecoming Heroes aim to make a positive impact at the school, and for the community. They seek to encourage others, and take actions to support student’s needs. Currently, there are twelve runners to become Homecoming Heroes, a total of three people from each grade level.
As of October 3rd, a new google form was released to NCHS emails, as it is not too late to vote yet. Voting alternatives also include right before the homecoming football game, at the tailgate on October 11th.
