Anticipating AHS 'Double Feature'

Brooke Chapman, Feature Editor

After hinting for over a year, Ryan Murphy officially confirmed season 10 of American Horror Story.

On November 10th, after a long sixteen months without AHS content, Murphy posted to his Instagram a photo of sharp pointy teeth, with a tongue tattoo spelling “AHS 10.” With over 400,000 likes and 15,000 comments, we fans are psyched.

Ryan Murphy is the producer, creator, writer, and co-creator, alongside Brad Flachuk, of the series American Horror Story (often referred to as AHS).  Murphy’s work on AHS makes it the cultural phenomenon it is today. Having millions of fans around the world, unforgettable characters, and is even listed as one of the Rolling Stones “30 Best Horror TV Shows of All Time.”

On March 19th, a new piece of information was released. Murphy released a video on Instagram. It’s a video of the sea and the shore, with grand, bright words popping out of the black background which says, “The title of.. American Horror Story 10 is Double Feature. Two horrifying stories, one season. One by the sea, one by the sand. More to come,” with captions including “#AHSDoubleFeature, #AHS10, and #AHS”.

From that point on, American Horror Story fans have been speculating about what the season or, Double Feature, will be. From Pilgrims to Aliens fans have been spending time trying to collect all the clues on what this new season of AHS will be like.

The recurring cast of AHS is coming back too; so far including Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Sarah Paulson, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, and Fin Wittrock. Other than the returning characters, new actors are coming to act on Double Feature as well including Macaulay Culkin and Kaia Gerber.

“Looks like American Horror Story Season 10 is a go for an October (fitting) production launch. Thanks to everyone who is working hard to assure a safe start for the cast and crew,” said Murphy in an Instagram post. And I know all of us American Horror Story fans can’t wait to watch.
